Bolton Wanderers Development Centre is an invitation-only provision designed to support talented young female players as they progress towards Academy-level football.

The Girls Development Centre will offer tailored technical and tactical training, delivered through high-quality, structured coaching from a combination of FA and UEFA-qualified coaches. Including the Bolton Wanderers Women coaching staff onside to support the girl's training.

Our girls’ squads will train weekly, alongside regular ad-hoc fixtures against a variety of opponents, including Professional Academies, Private Academies, Centres of Excellence and local Grassroots Teams. Sessions and fixtures will be held at the Eddie Davies Academy in Lostock, close to Bolton Wanderers’ home, The Toughsheet Community Stadium.

Players who demonstrate outstanding ability, commitment and potential within the Development Centre may be given the opportunity to train with and progress into the Bolton Wanderers Women Reserves team and we've had previous players come through our development centres that now play for Bolton Wanderers Women.

Our Girls Development Squads will provide opportunities from U9 through to U16, supporting players at every stage of their footballing development. We aim to create a positive, challenging and enjoyable environment where young female players can develop their technical ability, tactical understanding, confidence and love for the game.

For players aged 16 to 18, we also offer a BTEC Study Programme, providing the opportunity to continue their footballing journey alongside further education and personal development.
