Bolton Wanderers Development Centre is an Invitation-Only provision used as a transition to progress into Academy Football.

The Development Centre will offer tailored, tactical training delivered as high-quality, structured coaching from a combination of FA and UEFA qualified coaches.

Our boys’ squads will train weekly with regular ad-hoc matches against a variety of opponents, including Professional Academies, Private Academies, Centre of Excellence’s and local Grassroots Teams. These are held at the Eddie Davies Academy in Lostock, local to Bolton Wanderers home, The Toughsheet Community Stadium.

Those who excel within these squads may receive the opportunity to train and progress into Bolton Wanderers Category Two Academy.

Our Development Squads start from U7 all the way through to U16. We also offer a BTEC Study Programme for those aged between 16 to 18 to continue their footballing careers and further their education.
